Perfectly representing the Father

This is my son in whom I am well pleased
My brother resembles my dad a lot; in looks speech, temperament and mannerism. We sometimes play pranks on unsuspecting people when my brother would pretend to be my dad. There was a particular instance I remember very vividly. My brother was wearing one of dad’s caps as we sat outside the house on a cool evening. One of our neighbors, an elderly man but quite younger than my father, was passing by on the street in front of the house. Upon seeing my brother seated upon dad’s favorite chair, he prostrated to greet him thinking it was dad. We were so shocked that my brother could only wave back in response; too scared to talk for fear that his voice might give him away.
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him. Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own authority; but the Father who dwells in me does the works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me, or else believe me for the sake of the works themselves John 14: 7-11
Jesus is a replica of His father just as my brother was a replica of my father. However, that was where the resemblance stopped. My brother had no authority to act or take decisions like my father. Jesus Christ, on the other hand, has both the resemblance and the authority of the Father.
Many people desire to meet the Father but they are relating with the wrong image of the Father. Jesus Christ said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” – John 14:6. To get the right access to the Father, you need to go through the Son because the Father has placed all the authority in the son (John 3:35). Are you relating with impersonators and impostors pretending to have authority? The Bible describes them as having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof, it says you should turn away from such 2 Tim. 3: 5. Christ is the only express image of the God, the Father (Heb. 1:1-4). Reach out to Him today He’s waiting to lead you to the Father.
